Charming indeed, very enjoyable.
The music, visuals, and gameplay all fit together so nicely.
It was the first on my voting queue, and it really made me want to play more games from this jam!
extremely charming, perfect NES vibes. my nitpick is that medusa's fortune didn't seem to match the pattern of (said affectionately) dumb mythology jokes. or the decaf thing is such a deep cut that my own greek mythology fails me.
Thank you so much, this made my day! You're totally right about Medusa: the other three fortunes riff on how their myths end (the heel, the wax, the look back), and hers was just a coffee pun, so it stuck out. To be honest, I wasn't feeling very creative with that joke, but I definitely plan to change it later since it really feels out of place. Fixing her fortune is first on my list when I update the game after the jam. Maybe a few more customers too, if I get the time. Thanks for playing and for the kind words!
